You all know how great reading can be - the thrill of the chase, the brave new worlds and the knowledge learned. Wouldn't it be great if everyone loved reading as much as we do?
What would happen if all children learned to love reading at an early age? School would become so much easier and more enjoyable for them. Reading is probably one of the most important skill (I believe) that a child can learn. Not only does it open the world of books and imagination to them, but it also the foundation for sucess in their educational careers.
If a child can read, they can succeed!
Reading aloud can give a child the best possible advantage in learning to read, simply by spending time each day by reading aloud to them. And, it can also create a greater bond between a parent and child.
Please join me in collecting specific information about reading aloud to children. If we can motivate enough people to begin reading everyday to their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews imagine what a change that would bring about in the lives of children everywhere.
